CTForex overview: who is this broker for?

By FXallhub research teamUpdated October 20268 min read

Our verdict in one paragraph

CTForex is a young, offshore CFD broker that gets the basics right for active retail traders: a $50 entry point, MT4 and MT5, leverage up to 1:500 and a $50 bonus campaign. What it lacks is the safety net of a top-tier licence. It suits experienced traders who can manage risk and keep balances small, not beginners who need strong investor protection.

CTForex basics and fees

CTForex (often written CT Forex) markets itself as a multi-asset broker. Clients can trade forex pairs, stock indices, commodities and cryptocurrency CFDs through MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, a browser platform and mobile apps. If you already use MetaTrader, setup takes minutes.

The software is not the issue. The issue is where the company is registered. CTForex Ltd sits in Saint Lucia, an offshore jurisdiction with very light oversight of retail forex and CFD providers, and that shapes how much protection you get as a client.

This CTForex review walks through regulation, safety, platforms, account types, spreads, leverage, deposits and withdrawals, so you can decide whether it fits your trading or whether to choose a more tightly supervised broker. You can also see how it ranks against others on our broker reviews page.

Is CTForex safe? Safety features and investor protection

We checked CTForex for the three protections that matter most when a broker runs into trouble. None of them is backed by an outside regulator.

  • !Segregated funds (unverified)
  • !Negative balance protection (not in terms)

CTForex regulation and company details

The broker is run by CTForex Ltd, entered in Saint Lucia's Registry of International Business Companies under Registration Number 2025-00446. Its listed address is in Rodney Bay, Gros-Islet, Saint Lucia, and the company also mentions an office in Warsaw, Poland.

Registration and licensing are different things. Saint Lucia has no dedicated authority that supervises retail forex and CFD brokers the way the FCA (UK), ASIC (Australia) or CySEC (Cyprus/EU) do, so CTForex is not held to their rules.

What an offshore company registration does and does not give you.

CTForex says it keeps client money in segregated accounts. That is good to hear, but without an outside supervisor checking it, it is a promise rather than an enforced rule. In short, CTForex is an offshore broker, and you are relying on the firm's own practices more than on regulatory protection. A sensible approach is to start small, withdraw profits regularly and never deposit money you cannot afford to lose.

CTForex trading platforms: MT4, MT5 and WebTrader

CTForex offers three ways to trade:

  • MetaTrader 4 (MT4) – the classic forex terminal, light and stable, with a huge library of indicators.
  • MetaTrader 5 (MT5) – more timeframes, depth of market, an economic calendar and faster strategy testing.
  • Web platform – trade from any browser with nothing to install.

Both MetaTrader versions support charting, one-click trading, pending orders and automated strategies through Expert Advisors (EAs), and both run on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android. The web terminal is handy on a shared computer but has fewer tools than MetaTrader. Overall the platform line-up is standard for an offshore broker: dependable, not distinctive.

CTForex minimum deposit and account types

CTForex uses three account tiers, separated mainly by deposit size. Better pricing and service come with a larger balance.

$50

Entry account with standard pricing and full platform access. The right place to start.

POPULAR

Premium account

$2,500

Tighter pricing and extra features for traders who trade more often.

VIP account

Deposits and withdrawals

You can fund a CTForex account with bank transfer, debit/credit cards, e-wallets and cryptocurrency. Deposits are usually credited quickly. The broker says withdrawal requests are processed in about 24 hours and typically arrive within 1 to 3 business days, depending on the method.

What CTForex does not clearly publish is just as important:

  • Any trading volume you must reach before withdrawing (especially with a bonus)
  • Withdrawal fees or charges per payment method
  • The minimum amount you can withdraw

Ask support to confirm these in writing before you deposit, and test a small withdrawal early.

Trading instruments at CTForex

CTForex covers the main CFD markets:

  • Forex – major, minor and exotic currency pairs
  • Commodities – gold, silver and other metals plus energy products
  • Indices – leading global stock indices
  • Cryptocurrencies – popular coins as CFDs

Single-company stock CFDs do not appear in the available information, despite the multi-asset label. The range works well if you focus on the core markets and do not need niche products.

CTForex spreads and leverage

Spreads

Headline spreads start from 0.1 pips on the best account. Typical advertised spreads on major pairs are:

CTForex advertised spreads on major pairs
PairSpread from
EUR/USD0.5 pips
GBP/USD0.7 pips
USD/JPY0.6 pips

Live spreads move with account type, session and volatility, and they widen around news. Scalpers and frequent traders should watch pricing on a demo or small live account first.

Leverage

Maximum leverage by asset class:

Leverage magnifies losses as quickly as gains. Because negative balance protection is not written into CTForex's terms, a fast market gap could cost more than your deposit. Using lower effective leverage and a stop-loss on every trade is strongly advised.
